Saint Seiya | Saint Seiya Ω | Ep 53 “I have no right to stay by your side.”
“Because of my cowardice, I made you suffer. And I am really sorry. You always get hurt for me. “
Years may pass but I will never tire of seeing this scene …❤
Don’t you sometimes get the urge to watch your favorite childhood movie
…where Lucifer… was mad at
I will not let you harm Athena.
Coincidenia o no, la Toei ha jugado con nuestros sentimientos y nos ha trolleado. (bueno, solitos lo hiciemos lol).
Saint Seiya | Saint Seiya | Mr Pegasus, Mrs Pegasus and Pegasus Jnr
Okay just because Seiya and a baby stargazed under a Pegasus nightsky and therefore sent out more Father-Son vibes in just one episode than poor Shiryu and Ryuho (*) in 50, it doesn’t mean that the random baby is (or could be or should have been) his.
And certainly, it does not matter …
… that the aforementioned baby has his eyes, this doesn’t imply Seiya is (or could be or should have been) a bio-Daddy.
… that the baby’s hair is a funny mixture in shape and colour of Seiya and Saori’s hair. And the baby’s personality is not as reckless as his or as cautious as hers, but something in between.
… that Saori cradled the baby in her arms while Seiya was gazing at them
lovinglyas any random Gold Saint would have done. I am just watching the scene with my shipper glasses, truth is, Seiya was looking at them coolly and professionally, he wasn’t thinking “ah, that’s the mother of my future children, holding the first of many, ha!.” Nope.
… that for 13 years, a rather melancholic Saori raised that baby all by herself in an idyllic yet nostalgic area, she wore the Pegasus Clothstone in a necklace all the time and used a Pegasus cane. This doesn’t imply Saori has feelings for Seiya and missed him terribly. We all know Athena is well known for wearing Clothstones as a sign of mourning when a random Saint dies (or disappears) in the line of duty.
… that Seiya’s friends had a flash of his face when they saw the kid fight and use his Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken, it’s not like they saw any resemblance. The fact that these old friends didn’t see Shiryu’s face when they watched Ryuho using his Dad’s Cloth and Technique, was a mere lapse of memory.
… that Yuna desperately told Abzu!Kouga that he had been raised by Seiya and Athena. That’s what friends typically do, you see, when Brad met Angelina, he helped her raise her adopted children too, and now they aren’t even married.
… that the kid was passed down the Pegasus Cloth.
… that the kid is the Pegasus Saint and is able to don the Sagittarius Cloth, too. That doesn’t really remind us of Seiya.
… that Toei is playing mindgames and sending mixed messages at all. Any random baby you find in a battlefield can have all these funny little traits, it’s not big deal. Like Aria, oh please, she’s the spitting image of Seiya, too.
In short: When Toei created Kouga,
- They never intended to make him look exactly like an actual bio-son would have looked and behaved.
- They never implied Saori and Seiya are married or are a couple or anything. In fact, I’m pretty sure Kouga’s real parents were a reckless purple-haired warrior and a powerful and gorgeous brown-haired divinity (or vice-versa), who mastered the light cosmo and happened to like winged horses. But that’s just a coincidence.
(*) geez even Shun and Ryuho sent more Father-Son vibes…
Note: now read the bold texts only. I rest my case.
It’s my headcanon that they’re smiling at Seiya.
